‘MetOcean’ & ‘JouBeh’ connect as ‘MetOcean Telematics’
MetOcean Data Systems and JouBeh Technologies will merge to create MetOcean Telematics. The merger will bring together two well established and innovative organizations with considerable global reach. Collectively, MetOcean Telematics will be positioned to provide complete end-to-end Iridium® telematics services — with a focus on niche MetOcean solutions and custom Defence & Security products.

MetOcean Data Systems develops and manufactures state-of-the-art data acquisition and telemetry systems. Since its incorporation in 1985, MetOcean has been a world leader in integrated systems used for real-time environment monitoring. MetOcean specializes in the production of air-deployed and ship-deployed drifting platforms, search and rescue beacons, oil spill tracking buoys, ice platforms, acoustic systems, defense and security systems.
JouBeh Technologies is a leading global Iridium® satellite reseller. Since its inception in 2008, JouBeh has enabled companies with Iridium® telematics hardware solutions and data services, spanning the globe with unmatched service and support. JouBeh’s business ranges across numerous industries and market sectors; including marine, environmental, aviation and SCADA.
The MetOcean Telematics corporate headquarters, including the research & development and production facility shall be located in Dartmouth, NS, Canada. The merger will be effective January 1, 2017.
