Built for the Ocean’s Harshest Environments

NAMi is an evolution of MetOcean’s field proven PABLO system, redesigned to meet the growing demand for scalable ocean data in support of regulatory, environmental and scientific goals. Its robust construction, advanced sensor suite and real-time communications make it a powerful tool in the era of ocean intelligence.

Applications
  • Passive acoustic monitoring for marine mammal detection
  • Noise impact assessments for offshore energy and shipping
  • Environmental compliance in marine protected areas (MPAs)
  • Mapping of underwater soundscapes in support of conservation
  • Baseline habitat monitoring for ESG and regulatory reporting

NAMi is MetOcean Telematics’ next-generation autonomous acoustic monitoring platform, purpose-built to capture high-resolution underwater sound data in remote or regulated marine environments. Engineered for long-duration deployment and real-time communication, NAMi empowers scientists, regulators and developers with critical insights into marine mammal presence, habitat health and ocean noise pollution.

With flexible mission profiles and satellite-enabled data delivery, NAMi is ideal for marine mammal tracking, offshore construction monitoring, shipping lane analysis and environmental impact assessments. Whether used for conservation, compliance or research, NAMi delivers scalable, reliable ocean intelligence – anywhere in the world.

  • Real-Time Iridium Connectivity
Transmits acoustic and environmental data via Iridium Certus 100, ensuring global access to ocean insights – even from the most isolated regions.
  • Custom Hydrophone for Marine Life Detection
A proprietary hydrophone element captures acoustic signatures between 10 Hz and 2.4 kHz, with a detection radius of up to 5 nautical miles (9.26 km).
  • Flexible Mission Design
Operates as either a profiling float or at fixed depth, with mission parameters tailored to your deployment goals.
  • Long-Endurance Operation
Designed for 12+ months in harsh ocean environments, with onboard power management and automatic scuttling or recovery options at mission end.
  • Hydraulic Buoyancy Control
Enables controlled profiling within the water column for precise acoustic sampling at varying depths.
