MetOcean 40th Anniversary Travel Grant for The Wildlife Society Annual Conference

Purpose

The MetOcean 40^th Anniversary Travel Grant aims to support students and recent graduates in advancing their research and professional development in the field of wildlife tracking. These grants will enable recipients to attend The Wildlife Society’s (TWS) Annual Conference, present their work, and engage with the broader scientific community.

Grant Details

MetOcean is offering three (3) travel grants of USD $500 each to current students and recent graduates (within two years of graduation) seeking to participate in the TWS Annual Conference. The grants can be used to cover conference registration, accommodation, transportation, and related expenses.

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for a travel grant, applicants must submit the following materials:

1. A cover letter (maximum 1 page) detailing their interests in wildlife tracking and how the grant will benefit their research and career.
2. A letter of support from a mentor, advisor, or supervisor.
3. An abstract of the paper or poster being presented at the TWS Annual Conference.

All applicants will be notified of their travel grant status by September 20^th, 2024.
