About the Role

As Project Manager (PM), you will be responsible for planning and overseeing multiple small to medium highly technical projects to ensure they are completed within scope, timeline, and budget. You will help overall project coordination and processes to ensure that projects achieve the desired results and will be the go-to person for all project organization, details, and documentation. The PM should be able to work within a team through the project definition, estimating, and execution. The PM will advise management through briefing packages that schedule, cost and technical progress is being achieved.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget
  • Work with stakeholders to determine and define project scope and objectives
  • Prepare budgets based on scope of work and resource requirements
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans while monitoring and tracking progress and costs
  • Coordinate with stakeholders for effective execution of multiple projects
  • Measure projects performance and identify areas for improvement as necessary
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs efficiently
  • Maintain updated communications to relevant stakeholders

What you’ll bring:

  • Computer Science, Engineering, or other related post-secondary degree
  • Project Management Certification (PMP considered an asset)
  • Proven track record of successfully achieving desired project results within scope and budget
  • Solid technical background with understanding or hands-on experience in systems engineering, software development
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Extremely attentive to detail
  • Ability to lead multiple, concurrent projects
  • Advanced knowledge of project analytics and performance metrics
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Strong business sense to proactively identify and resolve problems and issues quickly and efficiently
  • Proficiency with MS Office including MS Project

Desired Skills:

  • 5+ years’ experience managing complex developmental projects
  • Experience managing projects using Jira
  • Experience in Telematics
